MileBrain vs TruckLogics: two ways to run a small fleet.

TruckLogics is a small-fleet TMS with native phone apps, built by a tax-filing company and priced in bands. MileBrain is a phone-first operating record with a free single-truck plan and a per-truck ladder above it. This page puts the two side by side using September 2026 list prices.

What TruckLogics is

TruckLogics is trucking management software from a company whose main business is tax filing. In our September 2026 review its pages listed $39.95 a month for one to two trucks, $79.95 for three to seven, and $199.96 at ten trucks. It has native mobile apps: more than ten thousand Android installs, rated 4.3 stars on iOS and 3.5 on Google Play at the time of the review. Fuel entries can carry a receipt photo and it produces a profit-and-loss view. The trial is seven days and the terms we saw said no refunds. Some 2026 reviews reported loads that vanished and an app that, in one reviewer’s words, freezes on the road.

Who it is for

A small fleet that wants a native app-store product and does not mind a banded price. If three to seven trucks at one flat $79.95 fits your size, and your drivers already live in a store-installed app, TruckLogics is a reasonable fit. It produces a profit-and-loss view. Go in knowing the trial is a week and refunds were not offered in the terms we read, so test the workflows that matter to you inside those seven days.

TruckLogics and MileBrain, line by line

Not listed means the vendor’s own pages did not list it when we read them in September 2026, not that it is absent. Nothing in the TruckLogics column is guessed.

When to choose TruckLogics

  • You want a native app from the app stores rather than a home-screen web app.
  • Three to seven trucks at a single $79.95 band is simpler for you than paying per truck.
  • You already file taxes with the parent company and want the bookkeeping to lean that way.
  • A profit-and-loss statement is the report you look at most.

When to choose MileBrain

  • You want to try the full product for more than seven days: MileBrain’s first truck is free with every feature, no card, no clock.
  • You want the rate judged against your own cost per mile at booking time, not discovered in the P&L at month end.
  • You want fuel receipts and rate confirmations read into entries, invoices in one tap, settlements computed, and a shipper portal in the same app.
  • You run one or two trucks: MileBrain is $0 for one and $30 on Pro for two, against $39.95 for one to two.
  • You want month-to-month billing you can stop from inside the app.

What about the vanished-loads reports?

We only repeat what 2026 reviews of TruckLogics said: some reported loads that vanished and an app that freezes on the road. We did not reproduce those problems and cannot say how common they are. MileBrain keeps a daily snapshot of your company and a one-file backup you can restore yourself.
